Children’s Education
Everything that we do at First Pres has an educational component. Our Sunday School program, designed for children ages three years old through fifth grade, is an important part of who we are. Join us in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for our children’s spiritual growth.

Nursery
Our Nursery is a warm and welcoming space located on the second floor of the education wing. From 9:10 am to 11:10 am during the summer and 8:45 am to 12:15 pm the rest of the year, our trained caregivers lovingly care for infants through 5-year-olds. Parents can participate in Adult Education activities and worship services while their children are looked after in a nurturing environment. Questions about our nursery? Preschool Education
Meeting on the second floor, three-year-olds through kindergartners are introduced to the worship life, stories and symbols of our faith. The children gather in a circle with a Godly Play storyteller to experience a Bible story told with simple, beautiful materials. The story concludes with the players wondering about it together. A response time follows when children are invited to work with story, art or building materials individually or in small groups. The class gathers again for a feast, sharing a prayer, simple snack, and conversation, and the children are dismissed with a blessing.
Children’s Education
Our 1st through 5th graders gather in The Upper Rooms on the third floor of the education building to discover the wonder of stories through play and engagement. We honor and nurture children’s spiritual lives, recognizing their centrality, competence, and capacity.
