Get-Out-the-Vote Postcard Writing Party

The AntiRacism Committee and Walls Temple AME Zion Church are sponsoring a Get-Out-the-Vote Postcard Writing Party on Tuesday, October 8, at First Presbyterian Church. Beginning at 6:00 pm with a light supper, we will be sending postcards to registered voters in the South End, Arbor Hill and West Hill who have not voted in the last two years to encourage them to vote on November 5. This year’s election is an important one! Besides voting for the President of the United States and a number of local officials (such as the DA), there is an Equal Rights Amendment to the NYS Constitution on the ballot. This will affect many people – women, African Americans, LGBTQ+, those with disabilities, and many more. Come work as long as you would like and make sure you turn the ballot over to help preserve the rights of everyone by voting!
