Founded in 1763, First Presbyterian is an intergenerational congregation with a welcoming spirit that attracts individuals living in the outlying suburbs and villages, as well as in the City of Albany. Our “tent” is large and intentionally inclusive.

First Presbyterian Church stands in Albany’s Washington Park/Center Square neighborhood at the intersection of State and Willett, nestled on the northeast edge of Washington Park, just a block north of Lark Street, with our address situated at 362 State Street, Albany, NY 12210.

In 2023, alongside adopting new mission and vision statements, we revamped our logo, core messaging, and brand to reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion, embodying the teachings of Jesus Christ in our vibrant, welcoming community.
