Labyrinth

The labyrinth, an ancient tool for prayer and meditation, symbolizing harmony and spiritual growth, is found in various cultures worldwide and has been used for over 4,000 years. First Presbyterian hosts a Chartres Labyrinth, originating from Chartres Cathedral in France, built during the Middle Ages for pilgrimage. Today, labyrinths are rediscovered globally as a means for spiritual deepening. While there is no prescribed way of walking a labyrinth, some people find this three-part journey helpful:

  1. Releasing upon entering
  2. Receiving at the center
  3. Returning with newfound insights and peace.

All are welcome to come and walk the Labyrinth. It’s set up in the Assembly Hall and open to all monthly every third Thursday from 11 am – 2 pm and 5 pm – 7 pm. For more information, contact Pastor Miriam via
email
